Kevin Duane Reed, 56, of Rose Creek, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at his home in Rose Creek.

Kevin was born Dec. 15, 1962, in Charles City, Iowa, to Frank and Esther (Joslin) Reed. He graduated from Austin High School in 1981. He then went on to attend Austin Vocational Technical College for auto mechanics. In 1980, Kevin enlisted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country until 1986. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, watching movies and listening to music. Kevin will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his parents, Frank and Esther Reed of Rose Creek; sons, Christopher Neumann of Phoenix, Arizona, and James Reed of Dexter, Minnesota; brother, Danny (Sandy) Reed of Austin, Minnesota; sisters, Kim (Joe) Landherr of Rose Creek, and Dawn (Todd) Peters of Fargo, North Dakota; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his niece, Tess Landherr; and nephew, Matt Reed.

A memorial gathering will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
