Riverland students honored at annual SkillsUSA Workforce Development event

Riverland Community College students were honored at the 2025 SkillsUSA Championships, held in Atlanta, on June 25-26 with a certificate of accomplishment.

Lilly Vadeer, of Austin, was awarded the college gold medal in Facilithon-Leadership in Facility Management while Samuel Oelfke, of Austin, was awarded the college gold medal in Commercial Roofing.

Cassie Britt, who is attending Riverland Community College in Austin and who is from Owatonna earned a Skill Point Certificate during this year’s event.

As an indicator of proficiency, Skill Point Certificates were awarded to the national contestants who met a predetermined threshold contest score for their SkillsUSA event, demonstrating workplace readiness. Students can add this certificate to an employment portfolio.

Skill Point Certificates were also awarded to national contestants who medaled or who met a threshold contest score for their event.
