According to court documents, Jones was arrested after it came to light that he had sexual conduct with a child on multiple occasions in Austin. Police discovered the abuse on April 8, 2018, and during questioning told an Austin Police Department detective that he didn’t want to be left alone with the child because of the child’s behavior and that Jones was a sex offender.

The complaint goes on to say that Jones became evasive during questioning and said he had been accused of touching other children and that he had been sexually abused by his uncle as a child.
