The Hayfield baseball team wrapped up its season with an 8-1 loss to Russell-Tyler-Ruthon (20-8 overall) 8-1 in a Class A state consolation game in Sauk Rapids Thursday morning.

The Vikings (16-11 overall) tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first on an RBI by Kael Steele, but they finished the game with just three hits.
