Pacelli will induct new HOF members on Friday

The Pacelli Hall of Fame will induct new members to its Hall of Fame at a dinner hosted by the Pacelli Booster Club on Friday. This event is held annually in conjunction with the Pacelli Golf Day, an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Pacelli Booster Club.
The new members include John Beaudot, Dan Gilbart, Dan Christopherson, Marty Wolesky, Elizabeth Judd Foster.
John Beaudot,
Class of 1980
Beaudot was a two sport athlete at Pacelli High School lettering in cross country and track and field. He earned All-State in 1980 with a second place finish at the State Track and Field Meet. Beaudot, along with Brian Maas led the Pacelli track team to a second place finish in state. Beaudot and Maas were co-MVPs as well.
After graduating, Beaudot took his sprinting abilities to Mankato State University, where he left his mark setting several school records, including 200-meters, 300-meters, 400-meters and was part of the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams. In his freshman season Beaudot qualified for the National Meet in the 200-meter dash and in 1984 he earned second team All-American in the 200. After college John spent 10 years as an assistant coach at several area schools including Mankato State University. John currently resides in Mankato and has been employed at Wis-Pak production in North Mankato since 1995.
Dan Gibart, Class of 1983
Gibart was an outstanding distance runner at Pacelli High School. He was a four-year letterman in both cross country and track and field. As a track and field athlete he was a three time district champ in the 3200 and a two time district champ in the 1,600. In cross country he was the first Pacelli athlete to qualify for the MSHSL State meet and he took advantage of it by placing sixth and earning All-State recognition. He also set a new Pacelli record in the 5k race of 15:32. Gibart continued his running career at the University of Northern Iowa, participating in both cross country and track and field. Since college he has been employed in the cleaning and restoration industry for the past 32 years, working as a business owner, manufacturers rep, and distribution partner. He enjoys helping families and businesses recover from catastrophic loss throughout the United States.
Dan Christopherson,
Class of 1984
Christopherson was a three sport athlete competing in football, basketball, and baseball. As a football player he was a letterman and earned HVL All-Conference recognition in 1983. In basketball, Dan was a two time letterman, 1984 HVL All-Conference, and selected as the MVP.
Christopherson was also a standout on the baseball team where he was a two time letterman, two time HVL All-Conference, and a key member of the 1983 fourth place state tournament team, finishing that year with a .517 batting average. Following his senior year he was named to the All District Team.
Christopherson continued his education at St. John’s University earning a BS degree in Accounting. He has been employed as a Certified Public Accountant for Deloitte & Touche LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, and Wells Fargo & Company in senior accounting roles. He currently serves as vice president and assistant controller for United Health Group and as Chief Financial Officer for UnitedHealth Group’s captive insurance company.
Marty Wolesky,
Class of 1991
Marty Wolesky, graduated from Pacelli in 1991. At Pacelli, Wolesky was a two-year starter, three-year letter winner, and captain of the 1991 district champion basketball team. In golf, Wolesky was a six-year varsity letter winner, a two time HVL All-Conference team member, and captain. In 1991, he was the district medalist, Region runner-up, and a state qualifier.
The golf team won back to back HVL conference titles in 1990 and 1991. In 1991, the golf team won the district championship and was the Region runner-up. After high school, Wolesky took his golfing talents to St. Mary’s University where he was a four year letterman, and two time captain.
After graduation, he joined the Lasallian Volunteer program and served at the San Miguel School in Providence, Rhode Island for a year as a teacher and development director. Upon completion of his year of service, Hormel Foods hired Wolesky, who has continued to work for the company for 28 plus years in various sales and marketing leadership roles.
Elizabeth Judd Foster, Class of 2001
Elizabeth participated in tennis and was a one-year letter winner, but softball was where she made her mark.
Foster was a catcher and played softball for Pacelli Hall of Fame coach Tom Clements.
During her high school career she earned many honors. She was a member of the 1999 fourth place state tournament team and also was a key member of the 2001 state runner-up team. Individual honors include 2001 All Conference, two-time All Section Team, 2001 All State and also named to the 2001 State Tournament Team.
Foster was very involved in other school activities, such as, drama, choir, student council, yearbook, and science club.
Upon graduation Foster continued her schooling at Riverland Community College where she received her associate arts degree.
Since then she has been employed at Our House Senior living for nine years, Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Austin, three years, and is currently employed by DDA Human Resources, Inc. as an Assistant Consultant since 2015.
