According to the report, Reeves had been at the residence of the victim the night before and at around 4:30 a.m. on June 26, the victim had awoken and found Reeves allegedly standing in a closet after using fentanyl.

The victim told police that that was against her rule for the house and had put some of his things outside the bedroom and locked the door.

Reeves came back and pounded on the door, threatening to break in. Reeves eventually gained entry and allegedly got into her face before gripping her around the throat with both hands and pushing her onto the bed.

Reeves released her when the victim’s dog challenged him, but later repeated the act after punching her in her eye, allegedly in retaliation for the victim striking him.

The officer noted the victim’s eye swelling as well as a small bruise by her trachea. After going to the hospital, the victim also found out that she had a fractured nose.

Reeves was sentenced to three years supervised probation on April 3 for felony third degree drugs sales/possession. According to the court complaint, he also has active warrants out of Hennepin County.

Reeves’ next Mower County appearance is for an initial appearance on July 14.
