The Mower County Humane Society would like to thank ALL that participated in the first annual Grillin and Chillin BBQ that was held on Saturday, June 7 at the Mower County fairgrounds. Despite cloudy weather, 150 plus people showed up with donations and/or an appetite to taste BBQ Hormel Always Tender St. Louis Style pork ribs as prepared by 15 different competing teams. Results–$4,000 was donated to MCHS! Winning teams were Steve’s Hog Whole BBQ — 1st; Marty Party BBQ — 2nd; and Marty Party BBQ also received the People’s Choice Award!
