We stand together—as union and district leaders—committed to supporting our staff, students, and families/caregivers with honesty, respect, and care.

While recent online posts have drawn attention, we want to be clear: our focus is on working together to strengthen trust, improve communication, and create a school culture where people feel safe, valued, and heard.

We may not agree on every issue, but we are aligned in our belief that progress comes through collaboration, not blame. Healthy dialogue, grounded in facts and mutual respect, leads to better outcomes for everyone.

Mental health matters, and so does staff morale, student success, and public trust. These aren’t political issues; they’re shared responsibilities we take seriously.

We are listening. We are learning. And we are committed to doing the hard work together.

Sincerely

Tom Compton, AEA President
