Julia “Julie” Ann Bye, 60
Julia “Julie” Ann Bye, age 60, of Austin, MN and formerly of Le Roy, MN died Tuesday June 10, 2025 in Austin.
She was born November 21, 1964 in Spring Valley, MN to Russell “Knute” Bye and Geraldine “Gerry” (Lanser) Bye. Julie lived in group homes in Adams and Austin, MN, she lived at R.E.M. and most recently at Rosewood and Elmwood in Austin. Over the years she did work for Cedar Valley Services. She enjoyed singing, doing crafts of all kinds, bowling and introducing herself to the people she would meet (she never met a stranger). She also had an uncanny ability to remember her family members’ birthdays. There were times that she could be a little challenging but that was just because she was a Bye.
Julie is survived by her siblings, Evelyn (Tom) Alberts of Austin, MN, Jeanne Sommer of Beaver Dam, WI, Tom (Pam) Bye of LeRoy, MN, Jim (Jude) Bye of Cresco, IA, Mary Barbarossa of Austin, MN, Michael Bye of LeRoy and John Bye of South Paris, ME. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Knute and Gerry Bye and 2 brothers-in-law Jerry Sommer and Joe Barbarossa.
There are no formal services being planned at this time. Burial will be in St Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in LeRoy.
