Grand Meadow man killed in two-vehicle crash

A Grand Meadow man has been killed following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 Thursday afternoon.

Kenneth Edward Tlougan, 62, was killed when he lost control of the 1981 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving in an attempt to avoid a collision with a 2017 Dodge Caravan driven by 18-year-old Corryn Phoenix Besse, of Byron.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Besse was traveling southbound on Highway 63 and making a left turn onto the eastbound lane of Highway 16 when the crash occurred.

Tlougan was traveling westbound.

Neither Besse or the passenger of the Caravan, 46-year-old Melissa Lorene Besse, were injured.

The crash took place a little before 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Fire Department and Grand Meadow Ambulance responded.
