Our travel is in full swing as we are looking forward to our schedule of one day trips and our extended travel for 2026. Hometown pick-up at Walmart in Austin is very convenient. Our schedule is available in the monthly Mower County Senior Center newsletter. If you would like to be on the Evie’s Travel email list, please let us know by emailing Jan at eviestravel.jan@gmail.com.
June 19: “Matilda” a delightful musical at the Marion Ross Theater in Albert Lea. Austin’s own, Gordy Handeland, will be directing the opening night musical. The storyline is about a girl named Matilda with telekinetic powers who is able to change her own destiny. We have a special rate for children accompanied by an adult. Includes a special dinner at 4:30 p.m. at the Hormel Historic Home, which is by the request of others from this past year. A few tickets remain. Plan for a delightful evening. Departs at 4:30 p.m. from Walmart and return time about 10:15 p.m.
June 26: Minnesota Twins vs Seattle Mariners. The Twins are playing well lately so this will be a fun day! Departs at 9 a.m. from the Walmart. Wait list only.
July 23: “Grease” the musical at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Departs at 9 a.m. Wait list only.
Aug. 10: Sunday in Lanesboro. Includes the production of Lone Star Spirits at the Commonwheel Theatre and lunch at the Pedal Pushers Cafe, Garden Tour at LeRoy, and the Veteran’s Memorial in Preston. We do have a few openings.
