Delbert Allen Lawrenceage 82, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at St. Mark’s Living in Austin. He was born on August 29, 1942, to Raymond and Ethel (Rudd) Lawrence in Fillmore County. He attended and graduated from LeRoy High School. Following his graduation, he began his 20-year career in the United States Army. Del was a missile specialist and retired as a recruiter in 1982. His military career took him all over the world.  He continued to work at Astrup Distributing and retired in 2002. On June 11, 1977, he married the love of his life Linda Graff in Austin. They spent the first 5 years of their marriage in Florida where Del was stationed until they moved back to Austin to raise their son Dustin. Del enjoyed music, especially by The Mavericks, reading and attending car shows. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was a proud veteran. Del loved spending time with his family; he adored his granddaughter, wife and son. He treasured his time with his brother-in-law Don whom he considered a brother. Del enjoyed spending time with his son Dustin looking at car magazines and talking about mechanic work, and he always preferred driving a Ford. He was a kind and loving man who will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Del is survived by his wife, Linda Lawrence of Austin; son, Dustin (Nicole Hiatt) Lawrence of Austin; and granddaughter, Kara. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Ethel Lawrence.

Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minnesota with military honors. Del’s family wants to extend great thanks to all the staff with St. Mark’s Living and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care given to Del during his time in their care.
