A local hockey player may get his chance to play with the Austin Bruins.
The Austin Bruins selected Kade Overocker from the Packer boys hockey team with the 66th pick in the second round of the NAHL Futures Draft on Tuesday.
Overocker will be a junior this fall.
To date, the only player from Austin to ever play for the Bruins is John Kirby, who was on the team from 2010-2012.
