Althing Clinic, located on the campus of Riverland Community College, has announced that it is planning to broaden its reach in the area.
The news came via a press release not long after it was announced that Mayo Clinic Health Systems would be closing its Express Clinic in the Hy-Vee stores in both Austin and Albert Lea.
Althing Clinic’s Riverland Austin location provides a comprehensive suite of services, including same-day convenience and urgent care, primary care, on-site labs, and behavioral health support. These services are available with extended and weekend hours.
“We recognize the growing challenges our communities face in accessing timely and essential healthcare,” said Katja Kressmann, GM of Althing Clinic.
For nearly five years, Althing Clinic has delivered patient experiences from its Riverland Austin location, and is now expanding its presence to ensure that all residents not only retain, but also gain, access to same-day and walk-in healthcare services.
“Our expansion into new locations and the extension of our hours are direct responses to this need. We are here to ensure that the residents of Austin and Albert Lea have reliable and high-quality options for their health, especially when they need care most,” said Ariel Martin, Clinic Manager.
The same services, including same-day primary care, walk-in convenience and urgent care, labs, and behavioral health, will soon be available at Althing Clinic’s new locations, though the release doesn’t mention where Althing might be expanding too.
