Tigers down Packers in five innings

The Packer baseball team had a tough day at the diamond as they lost to Albert Lea 13-0 in five innings at Seltz Field Monday.

Austin (6-8 overall) went through four pitchers in the loss as AL was able to rack up 10 hits and draw nine walks.

The Tigers (9-5 overall) took advantage of three first inning errors by Austin to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and they never looked back.

The Packers’ best scoring chance came when Haydn Quitmeyer doubled in the third inning, but Austin couldn’t push him through.
