Austin Area Arts has announced that it will present Cedar Summerstock Theatre’s “The Art of Cabaret” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at Austin ArtWorks Center.

Back by popular demand, this evening of Broadway musical hits is presented by  members of the Cedar Summerstock Theatre Company, collegiate performers from  nationally recognized theatre programs across the country that come together each summer to perform in musical productions in Osage, Iowa.

Their performers also put on cabaret nights throughout the area to share their talents off the big stage as well.

This year’s cast of singers represents colleges and universities around the country  including NYU-Tisch, Wayne State University, Western Carolina University, Elmhurst  University, University of Oklahoma, Point Park University, The Hartt School at The  University of Hartford, Carnegie Mellon University, and University of Mississippi.

This event will be presented cabaret-style in the 2nd floor gallery of the Austin ArtWorks  Center. Wine and beer cash bar available. General admission seats will be available for  $10 each or reserved tables (seating 4) are being sold in advance for $50 per table.
