The No. 3 Southland baseball team held on to beat No. 2 Blooming Prairie 3-2 in a Section 1A Tournament game in Riverland Monday.

The Awesome Blossoms had runners on second and third with no outs in the bottom of the seventh, but Southland pitcher Easton Meyer was able to finish the complete game win by pitching out of the jam.

Maverick Hanna added a double and two RBIs for the Rebels (16-4 overall), who will now play No. 4 Hayfield in a Section 1A semifinal at Riverland at noon Saturday.

BP (13-6 overall) kept its season alive when it beat Wabasha-Kellogg 2-1 in an elimination game and it will play another elimination game against No. 11 Lewiston-Altura at noon Saturday in Riverland.
