The Austin baseball team battled back and finished strong to beat Byron (6-4 overall) by a score of 5-4 in Seltz Field Saturday.
John Rolie drove in the walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Packers (3-6 overall).
Byron scored four unearned runs in the top of the first inning, but Austin pitcher Noah Dunlap clamped down, finishing with 12 strikeouts.
Dunlap moved to center field with two outs in the top of the seventh, and he threw out what would’ve been the go ahead run at the plate to end the frame.
