Nicolle (Nicki) Griffith, 55

Nicolle (Nicki) Griffith, age 55, passed away on May 15, 2025 at St. Mark’s Living, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 2 year battle with a rare form of cancer.

Nicki was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on March 8, 1970 to Francis and Darlene (Hass) Griffith. The most important thing in Nicki’s life was her family, and also what she liked to refer to as her “Tribe” of friends! Nicki was like a magnet, considering everyone she met, a friend, and wanted everyone to join in her life! Nicki never married, but considered all her nieces, nephews and their children, as her children. She was a very special Great Aunt and rarely missed any of their special events, ranging from sports, birthdays, graduations and so many other school activities and she loved to help in planning these special events!

Nicki was especially known for “feeding the flock” as she was a great cook and constantly was preparing meals for anyone and everyone! She was also a creative genius when it came to crafting and decorating. Nicki had a special gift of telling a story through her picture taking, always including everyone and capturing the memories of every event. She also had a love for music and sunshine!

Nicki will be remembered by all for her huge smile, her laugh and her zest for life. She was always ready to help out anyone in their time of need, even if she was in pain with her illness. We know she is not gone as she will remain in our hearts forever and we all will strive to be the amazing person she was!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Darlene (Hass) Griffith; brother, Oren Griffith; and many other loved ones.

Nicki is survived by her brothers, Terry (Elaine) Griffith of Lusk, WY, and Wayne (Grace) Griffith of Albert Lea; sisters, Penny (Bob) Donner of Turtle Lake, WI, and Deb (Paul) Leif of Austin; so many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and so many friends!

Our family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at St. Mark’s Living and the St. Croix Hospice team, even though Nicki was there for a very short time, they were a great comfort to Nicki and all of her family.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22nd at St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Tuesday, May 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
