RCC, MacPhail to host concert

Riverland Community College and MacPhail Center for Music will be hosting the Spring Sing featuring the Austin CommUNITY Choir, MacPhail Children’s Choir and guest artist Terrell X’ avion on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m.
The Austin CommUNITY Choir is a partnership with Riverland College Choir and is made up of 43 adults and students.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
MacPhail’s Children’s Choir has 119 fourth grade singers and is directed by Nikky Tolde. The Children’s Choir is made possible through grant funding from The Hormel Foundation.
The concert is at Knowlton Auditorium and costs $10 at the door. There’s free admission to all pre-K through college age students.
X’ avion is currently doing an artistic residence at Ellis Middle School and IJ Holton Intermediate School through MacPhail’s residency program for the entire week.
