An Austin woman was transported to Mower County Health System-Austin with non-life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Austin.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Emma Lauren Brekke, 21, of Austin, was the passenger in a 2020 Dodge Journey, driven by Christopher Mark Brekke, 44, also of Austin.

Emma Brekke was injured when a Honda Civic, driven by Alfonso Lopez Ramos, 38, collided with the Journey at the intersection of 14th Street NW and Fourth Avenue in Austin at around 8:09 p.m.

Neither Ramos or Christopher Brekke were injured. However, the MSP report indicates that alcohol was involved regarding Ramos.
