The Austin School Board held a study session on 3/24/25 in the District Office Conf Room, 401 Third Ave NW in Austin. Chair Dube called meeting to order at 4 pm. Members present Carolyn Dube, Robert Hartman, Cece Kroc, Don Leathers (4:10 pm), Carol McAlister, and Dan Zielke. Peggy Young joined the meeting via Teams from New Orleans, LA.
Young/McAlister approval of agenda, 6-0
Overview of findings from guaranteed energy savings audit.
Two potential funding sources for the energy savings project were presented by PMA Securities rep including use of capital facilities bonds. Discussion followed. If project is approved, the funding recommendation will be brought to the board for approval.
Principal Jessical Cabeen provided update on ALC and Austin Online Academy.
Page updated board on status of Benchmark Survey scheduled to be deployed in near future.
First readings of revised policies 413, 512, 704 and 714.
