Michael James Enzenauer

Michael James Enzenauer, born September 21, 1963 in Owatonna, MN to Donald and the late Evelyn Enzenauer.   He attended school in Oakland, MN for his first three years of elementary school, then continued his remaining school years attending Lyle School.   He graduated in 1982.  While in HS played tuba in the band and played High School Football for the Lions.   He received his further education in offset printing from Austin Vo-tech.

While Mike was growing up, he a member of Westminster Presbyterian church where he attended Sunday School and worship, continued to this day to attend on their Web-service.  He was involved with cub scouts, 4-H, which he showed champion rabbits and played 4-H softball.   As he grew-up he worked for many local farmers with various farm chores and baling hay.   He trained at the Austin Daily Herald after graduation from Vo-tech, training and working side by side with his father, Donald Enzenauer.  Long years of employment with the Pioneer Press, Grand Forks Herald, lastly with the Hampton Chronicle, Hampton, IA.

Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing greatly.   Enjoyed living in Iowa, and close to visit his father, to fish during spring and summer and deer hunt with him in the fall.  Cooking, gardening and yard work were strong traits, as well.    He had an enormous love for all animals.

Michael passed away March 31, 2025 after complications from a massive stroke.   He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Enzenauer, grandparents, Alfred and Marjorie Enzenauer and William and Irene Elsner.  He is survived by his father, Donald Enzenauer, sister, Donna Enzenauer Bolton (James), brothers, Eugene Enzenauer (Bonnie) and Alfred (Ike) Enzenauer (Michelle).   Daughter, Elizabeth Enzenauer Moe (Lwan) and son, Donald Enzenauer (Jessica).  Grandchildren (4), many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Michael will be held Saturday May 31, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Glenville Legion, 331 West Main St, Glenville, MN 56036.
