Margaret “Peg” C. Anderson, 86

Margaret (Peg) Caroline Anderson, 86, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, died on February 27, 2025 at The Auberge Memory Care facility in Cedar Park, Texas.

Margaret was born June 24, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to William Cox and Rose-Ann (Bilz) Jenne. She graduated from Faribault High School in 1956 and attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.  She was married to Orvis Anderson on August 31, 1963 at the Congregational Church in Faribault, Minnesota.

Peg held many jobs including at the Faribault Woolen Mill and as an aide with the Austin Public School system. She also volunteered as an election judge and delivered Meals on Wheels to members of the community.  However, her most treasured job was that of being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Peg was a sports fan and an avid supporter of the Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves and worked at the concession stand for the Austin American Legion Baseball Program. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rose-Ann Jenne, and her husband, Orvis Anderson.

Margaret is survived by her children, Kathy A. Bure, Austin, MN, Paul M. Anderson, Sterling, AK, Scott T. (Dana)  Anderson, Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Nathan Bustad, Nicole Anderson, Zachary Anderson, Leah  Anderson, Brett Anderson, William Anderson, Emily Anderson; brothers and sisters, Barbara  Foss, Faribault, MN, James (Bonita)  Jenne, Inver Grove Heights, MN, Dorothy (Richard) Lustig, Owatonna, MN, Holly Barnes, Ellendale, MN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Donna Anderson, Enid, OK, Ober J. (Iolene)  Anderson, Ankeny, IA, Leona Lacroix, Monument, CO, Marlene McLaurin, Vicksburg, MS, Lynn (Marybeth) Anderson, Nathrop, CO, Gary (Becky) Anderson, Colleyville, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Dr. Kristen Venne officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
