Huskies outlast Packer baseball team

The Austin baseball team lost to Owatonna 15-9 in Seltz Field Tuesday.

Austin (1-1 overall) got as close as 8-6, before the Huskies scored four straight runs to put it away.

Austin got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth when Cooper Jacobsen and Jonah Klein each delivered RBI singles to bring Austin within 7-2. The Packers added two more runs on an Owatonna error and a double steal to pull within 7-4.

Austin pitcher Tyler Carter retired the first two hitters to start the game, but a two out Austin error allowed the Huskies to find some life. After the miscue, the next four Owatonna runners reached base and the Huskies took a 3-0 lead. The Huskies led 7-0 after three innings. 

Noah Dunlap doubled in his first at bat for Austin.
