On April 25 Mower County Seniors Travel with Evie and Jan Mohrfeld will take in “37 Post Cards” at the Plymouth Playhouse, in Plymouth. This is our first travel trip for the 2025 season.
This 1930 screwball comedy is sure to have us enjoying a laugh on a pleasurable day. A noon buffet lunch is also planned prior to the show.
A few seats remain if you contact us at the Mower County Senior Office soon by calling 507-438-3946. Departure time is 9:30 a.m. Please arrive early to board. The pick-up time is 20 minutes prior to our departure time at the Walmart south end and we thank them for allowing folks like us to use their parking lot for all of our parking.
We will continue to use our deluxe motorcoaches.
On May 14 we travel to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum at the University of Minnesota. A tram ride will take us through over 40,000 tulip bulbs, which are planted in new designs each year. There will also be flowering crab trees, azalea bushes, daffodils and hundreds of gorgeous hanging baskets and planters.
This will be a narrated tour and a sack lunch is included. There will be free time to browse in the gift and garden shop.
Some openings remain and departure time is 9:30 a.m.
May 21: “Grease” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. Remember the greased black hair, leather jackets, poodle skirts, music like “Summer Nights” and high school at Rydell High? Come dress in the 50s if you like.
Included is a choice of dinner.
We do have the same great seats as in past shows, and some seats are still available. We also are hosting a July trip to “Grease,” which is a waiting list only. This show has so many memories, which we all can relate to.
Sign-ups are happening, so check availability.
We have a newsletter listing of all the future travel trips planned, which also includes some extended travel. This also is extended with Jan so call 612-845-0799. A website is also available for both of these.
We’re offering a “Christmas time in New York City” trip on Dec. 10-14.
We are open to the public, with hours at the Mower County Senior Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Schedules are also available at the Senior Center.
