The Hayfield softball team rallied to beat Mabel-Canton 5-3 in a season opener in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (1-0 overall) took the lead for good when Jenna Christopherson singled in two runs in the fifth inning. Nora Bamlet hit a two-run homer to bring Hayfield within 3-2 in the third inning.
