A chance of showers throughout the day will lead into a chance for severe weather tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, the area could see between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain except for higher amounts with thunderstorms.

The chance for storms increases into tonight, largely before 10 p.m. The NWS states that some of these storms could be severe with rainfall amounts of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain possible, though amounts could increase with storms.

The area could see another around of rain later in the week, Wednesday night into Thursday.
