To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the involuntary transfers of veteran teachers at Banfield Elementary to different school buildings within our district. These educators have dedicated years—often decades—to building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Moving them against their will disrupts not only their professional stability but also the continuity of education for the students who rely on their expertise.
Veteran teachers bring invaluable experience, mentorship, and leadership to their schools. Their familiarity with the community, curriculum, and school culture cannot simply be replaced. While administrative decisions may be driven by logistical needs, forcibly relocating these educators without considering their input feels both disrespectful and counterproductive.
Rather than uprooting these dedicated professionals, I urge district leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue with affected teachers and explore alternative solutions. Retaining experienced teachers in their established environments benefits everyone—students, staff, and the broader school community.
Educationally,
