UPDATE: After spring tease, snow returns Wednesday with a punch

Our short spring Monday will give way to a return to winter-like conditions Wednesday complete with a blizzard warning.

After dipping into the low 60s on Monday, the area is now looking at a possibility of between 3-7 inches of snow, which will start falling early Wednesday morning after rain and possible thunderstorms moves into the region today.

With the snow comes the possibility of high winds, which could gust as high as 48 mph.

The National Weather Service will put the blizzard warning into effect starting at 9 p.m. tonight and is expected to stretch through to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
