The Austin gymnastics team came 1.4 points from making it to state as a team and the Packers qualified four gymnasts for the state meet at the Section 1A meet in Kasson Saturday.

The Packers finished in second place as a team with a score of 139.6250 and Byron won the meet with a score of 139.6250.

Kiki Rodriguez advanced to state in all-around, Katelyn Klouse and Callie McRae advanced to state on bars and Reese Norton advanced to state on floor.

Rodriguez took first in vault and first in floor for the Packers. 

The Class A state individual gymnastics meet will be held in Roy Wilkens Auditorium in St. Paul at 11 a.m. on Feb. 22.
