GMLOS freshman Cael Smith clinched a trip to the state meet at the Section 1A meet in Mayo Civic Center in Rochester Saturday.

Smith earned his trip to state by taking second place when he beat Hunter Polikowsky of Chatfield in a semifinal before he lost to Goodhue’s Hayden Holm in the championship match.  

GMLOS’s Calum Sween took fourth place at 152, Ayden Stier took fourth place at 172, Wyatt Krull took fourth place at 215, Roman Sween took fourth at 285, Drake Payne took fifth place at 189 and Teague Alden took sixth place at 133.
