Debra Ann Kiefer, 57

Debra Ann Kiefer, 57, of Taopi, Minnesota, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Deb was born April 11, 1967 in Austin, Minnesota to Donald and Marian (Koenigs) Huntley-Lickteig. She attended Sacred Heart School in Adams and graduated from Southland High School in 1985.

Deb married Ray Kiefer on June 30, 1990 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, Minnesota. She was a Data Entry Specialist at Mayo Clinic for many years, recently receiving her 30-year plaque.

She was an accomplished bowler, an avid sports fan; she loved crafting, gardening and all things Disney. Above all, she loved celebrating her children’s lives and interests. She was a proud mom whether it was school activities, sports, dance or Nick’s music. The birth of her granddaughter brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 2011; father, Donald Huntley; stepfather, Fred Lickteig; and her brother, Ramon Huntley.

Deb is survived by her children, Haley (Jake) Stark, Austin, MN, Alex (Bailey) Kiefer, Huntsville, AL, and Nick Kiefer, Taopi, MN; granddaughter, Madelyn Stark, Austin, MN; mother, Marian Huntley-Lickteig, Rochester, MN; siblings, David Huntley, Adams, MN, Allan (Mary) Huntley, Taopi, MN, Donna (Scott) Baxter, Rochester, MN, Mark (JoAnn) Huntley, Adams, MN, Ruth (Dennis) Kiefer, Racine, MN, and Orrin “Butch” Huntley, Austin, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 4th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father James Berning officiating. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 8 pm and again at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will be in Taopi Woodlawn Cemetery.
