The Austin boys basketball team lost its eighth straight game when it fell to Mankato East 83-33 in its last home game of the season in Ove Berven Gym Saturday.

Mankato East (23-1 overall), which has now won 22 games in a row, opened the game on an 11-3 run.

Austin (9-15 overall) trailed 43-21 at halftime.
