The Austin boys swimming and diving team registered 34 personal bests in the 36 events it competed in the Section 1A finals in Rochester Friday.

Brent Dahl earned Section 1A titles and state berths in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke. Dahl set Section 1A records in both of his races and he was named Section 1A swimmer of the year.

The 200-medley relay team of Dahl, Hunter Peters, Simon Pischke and Noah Holt earned a trip to state with the seventh fastest time in program history and Peters earned a trip to state in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Packers were also named an MSHSCA Gold academic award winner for the season.

100-breaststroke: Hunter Peters (fifth, 1:05.52)

400-freestyle relay: Noah Holt, Brent Dahl, Simon Pischke, Hunter Peters (fourth, 3:30.14)
