APDT qualifies for 24th straight state meet

The Austin Packer Dance Team ran its state qualifying streak up to 24 straight years as it qualified for state in high kick and jazz at the Section 1AA meet in Northfield Saturday.
The Packers took first in high kick and second in jazz and they will compete in both events at the Class AA state meet in Target Center
The jazz competition will be held at 2 p.m. Friday and the high kick competition will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The finals for both events will be held at 7:15 p.m.
The Packers also won the Big Nine meet this season.
