Alumni Update: Hebrink delivers at VCSU, Dudycha providing solid minutes at Crookston

Austin grad Elyse Hebrink delivered a clutch bucket for the Valley City State University women’s basketball team as the Vikings defeated Jamestown 77-74 on Friday.
Hebrink scored the go-ahead points with 14 seconds left in the game as she finished with four points and four assists. Hebrink, a senior, is averaging 4.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Vikings (13-11 overall).
Blooming Prairie grad Megan Oswald had 12 points and three rebounds in the loss for Jamestown at VCSU.
Oswald, a senior, is averaging 6.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Jimmies (16-7 overall).
She has played 117 career games at Jamestown, starting all 23 contests this season.
Austin grad Hope Dudycha finished with 10 points and three rebounds for the University of Minnesota-Crookston in a 79-74 win over Northern State recently.
Dudycha, a redshirt sophomore, has started all 24 games for UMC (9-15 overall) and she is averaging 7.4 points per game.
Austin grad Olivia Walsh has played in 14 games this season at UMC, averaging .6 points per game.
Hayfield grad Natalie Beaver had 14 points and six rebounds for the Luther College women’s basketball team in an 88-83 overtime loss to Simpson recently.
Beaver, a freshman, has started all 22 games for the Norse (14-8 overall) and she is averaging 13.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Blooming Prairie grad Bobbie Bruns and Grand Meadow grad Kendyl Queensland are both members of the Gustavus women’s basketball team.
Bruns has played in nine games and is averaging 2.0 points per game for the Gusties (20-1 overall) and Queensland has played in 20 games and is averaging 2.2 points per game.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Pacelli grad Buay Koak has played in two games for Southwest Minnesota State University this season.
SMSU is 18-6 overall.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
Austin grad Kenny Cabeen was part of a 400-freestyle team that took first place for the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire at the Minnesota First Chance Meet at the University of Minnesota Saturday.
The team finished with a time of 3:11.59.
Austin grad Molly Sheehan won the 100-yard breaststroke for the Blugolds at a WIAC meet in UW-Whitewater on Feb. 1.
Pacelli grad Winston Walkup is also a member of the UWEC swimming team.
