The Austin City Council Monday night approved the platting of a proposed addition to the Nature Ridge Fourth Subdivision, which was petitioned by Nature Ridge Properties of Austin Co.

This is the final plat of the subdivision and is located west of 14th Avenue NE and east of 13th Avenue NE and involves 30 lots. The entire subdivision is located just west of the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.

The platting was given preliminary approval by the council on Jan. 21.

The cost of the project is estimated at $1.635 million, with 100% of the project costs expected to be assessed to the addition’s developed/benefitting parcels equally.

Among those things Nature Ridge is required to construct a sidewalk on the south side of the proposed development to comply with the multi-modal complete streets requirement of the City of Austin.

A development agreement was also required and likewise was approved by the council Monday night.
