City honors Legion, VFW Color Guard

The Austin City Council on Monday night, during its meeting, honored 24 members of the Austin Post 91, Austin VFW Post 1216 Color Guard for the work they do.
Mayor Steve King read off the names of the members and thanked each one of them during a brief ceremony toward the front of the meeting.
Members of the Color Guard were also presented with the City of Austin Key Charm.
“On behalf of the City of Austin, I just want to honor you for your service,” King said.
