We are entering the time of year where we oftentimes see the best in our communities – our volunteers. Our local community groups, charities, and countless other organizations rely on volunteers, especially during the holidays.

Volunteering is not only beneficial to the community but also to the volunteers themselves. It provides a sense of purpose, fulfillment, and a chance to make a real difference in the world. It allows individuals to develop new skills, meet new people, and gain valuable experience. Volunteering can also be an excellent way to give back to those who have served our country in uniform. Our veterans volunteered at the risk of their own lives to protect our freedoms and our way of life. As a nation, we owe a great debt of gratitude to our veterans, and volunteering is one way we can help support them.

Volunteerism is a powerful force for good in our communities. It allows us to give back to those who have given so much to us, and to make sure that those who need help during what can be a very difficult time of year, get the things they need. Volunteers of all kinds make a difference in the lives of those around us, whether they are serving with the Humane Society, the Salvation Army, in our local schools, or in any number of other places.

As we gear up to celebrate the holidays, let us also remember the importance of volunteering in our community. By volunteering our time and resources, we can support our neighbors and make a positive impact in our communities. I would encourage everybody in our community to take some time during what’s left of the year to volunteer and make our community a better place.
