The Austin trap shooting team recently had three shooters compete in the national competition in Mason, Michigan.
While no Packers reached the podium, all three put up big performances.
Nathan Martinson went 91-for-100 with a 25 straight streak, Trenton Whiteaker went 84-for-100 and Carrie Whiteaker went 74-for-100.
AJ Barrera took third place in the state for both five-stand skeet in the female varsity category and Clair Bliese took fifth in state for the skeet varsity female category. Barrera finished first in the female five stand in the conference and she took first in female sporting clays for the conference.
Trenton Whiteaker took third in male five-stand for the conference and third in sporting clays for the conference
Austin’s SKEET team took first place in the conference, the sporting clays team took first in conference, the five-stand team took second in conference and the trap team took third in conference.

NATIONAL COMPETITION
THE National Trap Championship takes place in Mason, Michigan every July. This year, three Austin team members travelled to Michigan to participate. Though no one made the podium, they all scored really well.
