A pair of Austin middle schoolers missed out on state, but they put up big performances as they wrapped up play at the Section 1AA girls golf meet in Cannon Falls Thursday.

Seventh grader Aliani Thiravong finished with a two-day total score of 181 to take 10th place overall and seventh grader Sydney Lewis shot a two-day score of 207 to finish tied for 27th place.
