Richard H. Alger, 89

Richard H. “Dick” Alger, age 89, of Austin went to heaven at Methodist Hospital in Rochester on Tuesday evening, January 25, 2022 following a 17 month battle with cancer.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father James Steffes officiating.  Friends may call from 5-7 pm on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the mass at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Rose Creek. Military rites will be by American Legion Post #91 and VFW Post #1216.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Hormel Institute for Cancer Research in Dick’s honor.
