An area student is one of several students to receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2021-2022 school years.

Kory Klouse, of Rose Creek, was one of six to receive the scholarship from the Upper Midwest Allis-Chalmers Club, based in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Klouse plans to attend Riverland Community College and major in Elementary Education as well as receive his coaching certificate.
