Austin Police Officer Mike Tischer was promoted to sergeant during the Austin City Council’s regular meeting Monday evening. Tischer is replacing Mike Hartman, who was promoted to lieutenant, as the night shift sergeant. In addition to serving on the APD, Tischer is also a part-time firefighter with the Austin Fire Department. Also pictured is Austin Police Chief David McKichan. Photo provided
