Third Ward Councilman Paul Fischer is seeking a second term on the Austin City Council, having filed for office earlier this week.
“I’ve enjoyed the last four years, ” he told the Herald. “I enjoy working for the citizens of Austin and the people of my ward.”
A lifelong Austin resident, Fischer currently sits on the Austin Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the City/County Committee and the Austin-Mower County Home Ownership Board. He is the Operations Manager for the Apollo locations in Austin.
“Austin’s a great community,” he said. “I’ve lived here my whole life, I’ve got two kids at Ellis and Austin High School, and I want to be involved. It’s a great city, it’s a fun city and I enjoy making decisions to make it better.”
