Stolen vehicle recovered in Austin

Austin police have no suspects after a vehicle stolen from Owatonna was recovered in the city over the weekend.
According to Austin Police Chief David McKichan, police located a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze at about 3:22 p.m. on Saturday in the 100 block of Fifth Street Southwest. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Owatonna earlier in the day and was unoccupied when police found it.
It is believed the following items were stolen from the vehicle before it was recovered:
• A black North Face bag with a purple paint stain at the top on the loop, valued at $100;
• A brown Michael Kors purse, valued at $200;
• A gray Apple iPad (unknown serial number) in a portfolio case attached to a keyboard, valued at $100-$200;
• A wallet containing $60 in cash, a visa gift card valued at $25-$50, a target gift card, an AAA card and the victim’s Minnesota driver’s license; and
• A Chromebook issued from Owatonna High School.
