Rudolph “Rudy” Anderson, 66, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away from cancer on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at his niece’s home.
Rudy was born April 11, 1953, in Austin to Willard and Goldie (Gutman) Anderson. He graduated from Austin High School in 1971. He attended Riverland in Austin, where he was part of the welder’s program, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Rudy worked for Cedar Valley Services and retired after 28 years.
Rudy enjoyed being outside and taking walks. He really loved working on and riding motorcycles. He was always easy going and ready for a good conversation with his close friends or family. Family was very important to Rudy and he made sure that everyone knew that.
He is survived by four siblings, Lavinda Bauer, Austin, Jane (Darrell) Griner, Elgin, Illinois, Patsey (Mike) Becker, Wickenburg, Arizona, and Milton Anderson, Austin; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Rudy was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Willard and Goldie Anderson; his sister, Nancy Stahl; and his brother-in-law, Mike Bauer.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Memorials are preferred to 302 Ash St., Rose Creek, MN 55970. Rochester Cremation Services is assisting with arrangements.
