Josephine Louise Dulitz, 99, of Brownsdale, Minnesota, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.

Josephine Louise Dulitz, 99

Josephine was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Austin, Minnesota, to Robert and Bertha (Reinke) Dulitz. She lived in Brownsdale at the Legacy of Brownsdale (Assisted Living Facility) at the time of her death. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minnesota. Josephine lived on the Dulitz family farm with her parents, Robert and Bertha, and her brother, Arnold, until moving into Brownsdale. She was a wonderful caregiver for many people during her life, including her parents until their passing. Josephine loved her church, puzzles, playing cards with friends, crocheting, watching “Wheel of Fortune,” gardening and canning. She made the best dill pickles!

Survivors include a niece, Rebecca (Mike) Panter of Charles City, Iowa; two nephews, Richard (Shirley) Dulitz of Mesa, Arizona, and Mark Dulitz of Mesa; cousins and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Carl and Bertha Alvine Dulitz; and brother, Arnold Wilhelm.

A private interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waltham. A special thanks to Vicki Reid for all her efforts and help in the difficult time. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
