Steven Van Houten, 72, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday March 10, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus-Rochester, under hospice care, surrounded by his loving family.

Steven was born March 26, 1947, to Jeaneal and Lester Van Van Houten in Faribault, Minnesota.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Van Houten; their oldest son, Mark Van Houten (wife Lily); daughter, Jennifer Cook (husband Randy); youngest son, Joshua Van Houten (wife Susan); and his baby dog, Lucy. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon; brothers, Bruce and Jerry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeaneal and Lester Van Houten; brother, Lonnie; and his little girl, Maddy.
